Personas
Tags answer what kind of question is this? Personas answer who's asking it?
A persona is a buyer archetype - Enterprise IT Buyer, Solo Indie Hacker, Marketing Agency Owner. They're the kinds of people who'd realistically ask the questions in your prompt list, and Trakkr auto-classifies every prompt into one of them so you can see your visibility broken down by audience instead of just by topic.
Here's why this matters. Imagine your overall visibility score is 47%. That's a single number, and it hides a lot. Maybe you're at 75% with enterprise IT buyers and 22% with indie hackers - two completely different problems with two completely different fixes. Or maybe you're strong at the awareness stage but invisible by the time someone is deciding. Personas split that one number into a handful of separate stories, each one tied to a specific kind of customer.
How they work
Once you have ten or more active prompts, Trakkr quietly generates 3-8 personas using Gemini. The whole thing takes about 20 seconds and runs automatically the first time you cross the threshold - you don't have to ask for it.
Each persona gets:
- A short name and one-sentence description
- A 2-3 sentence bio of who this person is and what they care about
- A buyer journey stage - awareness, consideration, or decision
- 2-3 suggested prompts they might also ask, that you aren't tracking yet
Each of your prompts belongs to exactly one persona. If Gemini gets one wrong, use the prompt's actions menu to move it - your overrides stick across regenerations, so the correction is permanent.
What the drill-down shows
Click any persona row to expand it. You'll get the bio, the prompts (ranked best-to-worst, with arrows showing which are pulling the average up or down), a visibility chart, competitor alerts for anyone winning more than 15% of this persona's prompts, the top sources AI cites for this audience, and a few suggested prompts to add.
Read the drill-down like a brief, not a status report. The competitor alerts and top sources are usually the most actionable things on the page.
Custom personas and regenerating
Auto-generated personas are a starting point. Click New to add one by hand - useful for a key account, a vertical, or an ICP segment you're betting on. Drag prompts into it from the Prompts tab.
Custom personas never get overwritten. Auto-generated ones do - click Regenerate whenever you want a fresh take, or wait for the stale banner that appears when your prompt list has shifted significantly.
A few common questions
Why don't I see any personas? You need ten active prompts. Below that, the tab shows your progress toward the threshold.
Can a prompt belong to two personas? No - each prompt sits in exactly one. For overlapping organization, use tags.
My personas feel generic. Fill out your brand profile (description, industry, domain) so Gemini has context, and diversify your prompts across stages. If every prompt is a comparison, your personas will all look like "buyers comparing options."
