What you'll learn
- Connect a Google Sheet safely with service account sharing
- Choose the right sync frequency for your reporting cadence
- Understand all 5 tabs created by Trakkr
- Troubleshoot access and verification failures quickly
Google Sheets sync gives you a continuously refreshed reporting layer without manual exports.
Setup prerequisites
Before connecting:
- 1Create a new Google Sheet (or open an existing one)
- 2Share it with the Trakkr service account email shown in setup
- 3Grant Editor permission
- 4Paste the sheet URL into Trakkr and verify access
Sync modes
Choose one sync frequency:
- Manual - Trigger sync only when needed
- Daily - Refresh every 24 hours
- Weekly - Refresh every 7 days
Tabs created by sync
Trakkr creates and updates five tabs:
| Tab | What it contains | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Summary | Aggregated visibility trends | Executive updates |
| Detailed | Prompt + model-level ranking rows | Analyst breakdowns |
| Raw | Full ranked output context | QA and audits |
| Tag Trends | Daily visibility by prompt tag | Segment trend monitoring |
| Competitor Watchlist | Daily trends for configured competitors | Competitive tracking |
Troubleshooting
Access denied during verification
This usually means the service account does not have Editor access.
Checklist:
- Confirm you shared the exact sheet
- Confirm permission is Editor (not Viewer)
- Confirm the URL points to the intended spreadsheet
Spreadsheet not found
Check that the URL is valid and that the spreadsheet still exists.
Authentication or temporary errors
Retry after a short wait. If it persists, reconnect the integration and run a manual sync.
Best practices
- Use one sheet per brand to keep reporting clean
- Keep a stable tab structure for stakeholder dashboards
- Use manual sync before important reviews or client meetings
