A brand keeps showing up as a competitor even though it isn't relevant. How do I remove it?

Use the hide option in that competitor's row menu on the Competitors page. Hiding suppresses it from your competitive views without touching the underlying data, and it stays hidden on future runs until you unhide it from Manage Brands.
If you're instead seeing the same company listed multiple times under slightly different names (a brand and one of its product lines, for example), that's a naming-variant issue rather than an irrelevant competitor: use Manage Brands to merge those variants into a single tracked entry instead of hiding each one.
