Why is my citation data empty right after I sign up?

Citation data only exists after at least one research run has completed for your brand, so an empty Citations page right after signup almost always means that first run hasn't finished yet, not that you have zero citations. The three citation-returning surfaces (ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity) each run your active prompts once a day, and citations get collected, deduplicated, and classified as part of that same pipeline.
Give it through your first full daily cycle before reading an empty page as 'we're not cited anywhere.' If it's still empty well after your first research run has completed, that's worth flagging to support.
