What you'll learn

  • Configure brand settings like aliases and location
  • Organize brands into groups
  • Import multiple brands via Quick Setup or CSV

A brand in Trakkr is any company, product, or entity you want to track across AI search. Each brand gets its own visibility scores, prompts, citations, competitors, and research history.

Your Brand Portfolio

Go to Settings → Brands to see your brand portfolio. The stats bar at the top shows:

StatWhat it means
BrandsTotal brands you've created
TrackingActive brands counting toward your plan limit
Avg VisibilityAverage visibility score across all active brands
GroupsNumber of brand groups you've created

Adding Brands

Single Brand

Click Add Brand to launch the onboarding flow. You'll enter:

FieldDescriptionExample
NameHow people refer to your brand"Notion"
WebsiteYour primary domain"notion.so"
DescriptionWhat you do (1-2 sentences)"All-in-one workspace for notes, docs, and projects"
Tip
Use the name real customers use. If people say "AWS", use that - not "Amazon Web Services". Add the full name as an alias later.

Quick Setup (Bulk)

Need to add multiple brands fast? Use Quick Setup:

  1. 1Click Add Brand in Settings → Brands
  2. 2Choose Quick Setup
  3. 3Paste brand names and websites, one per line:
Text
Notion, https://notion.so
Airtable, https://airtable.com
Coda, https://coda.io
  1. 1Click Import

Trakkr automatically fetches logos and descriptions from each website.

Tip
You can paste just names without URLs. Trakkr will try to find the website automatically.

CSV Import (Bulk)

For full control over imported data, use CSV:

ColumnRequiredDescription
nameBrand name
websitePrimary URL
descriptionWhat the brand does
aliasesComma-separated alternatives

Example CSV:

csv
name,website,description,aliases
Notion,https://notion.so,"All-in-one workspace",""
Slack,https://slack.com,"Business messaging","Slack Technologies"
HubSpot,https://hubspot.com,"Marketing & CRM platform",""

To import: Click Add BrandCSV Import → drag and drop your file → review the preview → Import All.

Warning
CSV import skips brands that already exist (matched by name). It won't update existing brands.

Brand Settings

Click the edit icon on any brand to open settings. You can configure:

Name & Website

The brand name and primary domain. Changes here affect how Trakkr identifies mentions in AI responses.

Description

A brief description of what your brand does. This provides context when analyzing AI responses.

Aliases (Variants)

Alternative names, abbreviations, or common misspellings. Trakkr looks for all variants when scanning AI responses.

Text
Primary: Amazon Web Services
Aliases: AWS, Amazon AWS, Amazon Cloud

Favicon

Trakkr automatically fetches your favicon from your website. Click the upload icon to use a custom logo instead.

Country/Location

Set your brand's primary market. This helps with location-specific analysis.

Active/Inactive Toggle

Toggle tracking on or off directly from the brand list. Inactive brands don't count toward your plan limit and aren't included in research runs.

Brand Groups

Organize brands into color-coded groups. Useful for agencies managing client portfolios or teams tracking multiple product lines.

Creating a Group

  1. 1Click New Group in Settings → Brands
  2. 2Enter a group name
  3. 3Choose a color
  4. 4Click Create

Moving Brands to Groups

  1. 1Hover over a brand row
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu
  3. 3Select Move to group
  4. 4Choose the target group

Or drag and drop brands between groups when viewing by group.

Viewing by Group

Toggle between All Brands and By Group views using the tabs at the top. Group view shows brands organized under collapsible group headers.

Managing Brands

Switching Between Brands

Use the brand selector in the sidebar to switch context. All pages (Dashboard, Prompts, Citations, etc.) update to show data for the selected brand.

Note
Each brand is completely independent. Prompts, competitors, and settings don't carry over between brands.

Duplicating a Brand

Copy an existing brand along with its prompts:

  1. 1Hover over a brand in Settings → Brands
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu
  3. 3Select Duplicate
  4. 4Enter a new name
  5. 5Choose which prompts to copy

Deleting a Brand

Warning
Deleting a brand permanently removes all its data: prompts, research history, reports, and settings. This cannot be undone.
  1. 1Click the edit icon on a brand
  2. 2Scroll to the bottom of the modal
  3. 3Click Delete Brand
  4. 4Type the brand name to confirm

Brand Limits

Your plan determines how many active brands you can track:

PlanIncludedAdd-ons
Free1 brand-
Growth1 brand+$39/brand/month
Scale10 brands+$39/brand/month

Inactive brands don't count toward your limit. You can deactivate brands to free up slots without losing data.

Best Practices

Use the name people actually use. "Slack" not "Slack Technologies, Inc."

Add aliases for variations. Include abbreviations, common misspellings, and alternative names so Trakkr catches all mentions.

Write a clear description. One or two sentences about what you do helps with context when analyzing results.

One brand per entity. Don't create multiple brands for the same company. Use aliases instead.

Use groups to stay organized. Agencies should group by client. Product teams might group by product line or market segment.
