Your data belongs to you.

What we collect

TL;DR: Only what we need to run Trakkr

When you use Trakkr, we collect the minimum information needed to make the product work. Here is exactly what that includes:

Account basics
Your email address and name when you sign up. If you use Google to log in, we get your name and email from Google. That is it.
Your brand data
The domains, company names, and prompts you set up for tracking. This is the data you choose to give us so we can monitor AI mentions for you.
How you use Trakkr
We track which pages you visit and features you use. This helps us understand what is working and what needs improvement. We are not tracking your every move, just getting a sense of how the product is used.
Payment info
Stripe handles all payments. We never see or store your full credit card number. We only get the last four digits and basic billing details to show your transaction history.

How we use it

TL;DR: To make Trakkr work for you

Everything we collect has a purpose. Here is what we do with your information:

  • Run the AI visibility tracking you signed up for
  • Send you reports and alerts about your brand mentions
  • Process your payments and manage your subscription
  • Send important updates about your account or the service
  • Answer your questions when you reach out to support
  • Improve Trakkr based on how people actually use it
  • Keep the service secure and catch any suspicious activity

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles about you to sell to others. The business model is simple: you pay us for a useful product.

Who we share with

TL;DR: A handful of trusted partners

We are pretty protective about your data. Here is who gets to see it:

Our infrastructure partners
We use services like Supabase for our database, Vercel for hosting, and PostHog for analytics. They have access to the data they need to do their job, and they are all bound by their own privacy commitments.
Payment processors
Stripe handles all billing. They need certain info to process your payments, and they are trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.
When legally required
If we get a valid legal request (like a court order), we may have to share information. We would only share what is specifically required.
If we are acquired
If another company buys Trakkr, your data would transfer to them. We would give you notice before this happens.

We will never sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

How we protect it

TL;DR: Encryption everywhere

Security is not just a checkbox for us. Here is how we keep your data safe:

  • All data is encrypted when it travels over the internet (TLS)
  • All data is encrypted when it sits in our database (AES-256)
  • We use secure, reputable infrastructure providers
  • Access to your data is limited to team members who actually need it
  • We regularly review our security practices

That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you ever notice something suspicious with your account, please let us know immediately.

How long we keep it

TL;DR: As long as your account is active

We keep your data for as long as you have an account with us. After you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days.

Some things stick around a bit longer for legal or business reasons:

  • Transaction records (we need these for accounting)
  • Security logs (in case we need to investigate something)
  • Data we are legally required to keep

Want us to delete everything? Just email us at [email protected] and we will take care of it.

Your rights

TL;DR: Access, correct, delete anytime

Your data, your rules. Here is what you can do:

  • See what data we have about you
  • Get a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Fix anything that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Object to how we are using your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Most of this you can do right from your account settings. For anything else, just email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 hours.

Cookies

TL;DR: Essential ones only

We use cookies, but not in a creepy way. Here is the breakdown:

Essential cookies
These keep you logged in and remember your preferences. The site would not work properly without them.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how people use Trakkr so we can make it better. We use PostHog, which is privacy-focused and does not sell your data.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from ad networks. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some features might not work as smoothly.

International transfers

TL;DR: Protected wherever it goes

Trakkr is based in the UK, but our infrastructure spans multiple countries. Your data might be processed in the US, EU, or other regions where our service providers operate.

When data crosses borders, we make sure it stays protected. We use standard contractual clauses and work with providers who meet international data protection standards.

Children

TL;DR: Not designed for under-16s

Trakkr is a business tool designed for professionals. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If you are a parent and believe your child has somehow signed up, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the account immediately.

Changes

TL;DR: We will let you know

Laws change, our service evolves, and sometimes we need to update this policy. When we do, we will:

  • Update the "last updated" date at the top
  • Email you about any significant changes
  • Give you time to review before changes take effect

If you keep using Trakkr after we make changes, that counts as acceptance. If you disagree with a change, you can always close your account.
